Medical Disclaimer

Lunara AI is a wellness product, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, sleep disorder, or medical condition.
1. Not a substitute for professional care
The information, recommendations, and insights provided by Lunara AI are for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or a suspected sleep disorder.
2. Do not delay seeking medical advice
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or seen in Lunara AI. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency services immediately.
3. Sleep tracking limitations
Consumer-grade sleep tracking is based on movement, sound, and heart-rate signals from your phone or wearable. These signals are meaningful but not clinical-grade. Lunara AI’s sleep stages and recovery metrics should be interpreted as trend indicators, not diagnostic measurements. Do not use Lunara AI to self-diagnose sleep apnoea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, or any other condition. If you suspect a sleep disorder, please see a board-certified sleep clinician for a polysomnography (PSG) study.
4. AI Coach responses
Lunara AI’s conversational Coach uses a large language model to generate responses. While we ground its context in your real sleep data and design the system prompt to reference established sleep science, LLM responses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. Verify any medically significant advice with a qualified professional before acting on it. Never take medication or change a treatment plan based on the AI Coach.
5. Snore & noise detection
Lunara AI’s on-device audio analysis may detect snoring or breathing irregularities. Detection is a signal, not a diagnosis. Loud, chronic, or gasping snoring can indicate obstructive sleep apnoea, which is a serious medical condition. If Lunara flags concerning patterns, please consult a sleep clinician.
6. Heart-rate & HRV data
If you sync Lunara with Apple Health or Google Fit, we display heart-rate, HRV, respiratory rate, and SpO₂ data. Consumer-grade sensors are not FDA / TGA / MHRA cleared for medical diagnosis. Use these values as trend indicators only.
7. Pregnancy, medications, and existing conditions
If you are pregnant, have a diagnosed sleep disorder, take prescription medications that affect sleep, or have any chronic medical condition, please consult your healthcare provider before making significant changes to your sleep routine based on Lunara AI insights.
8. Age restrictions
Lunara AI is not intended for use by children under 16. Sleep patterns in children and adolescents differ significantly from adults and should be evaluated by a paediatric specialist.
9. Emergency situations
Lunara AI is not designed for and cannot detect medical emergencies. Do not rely on it in any life-threatening situation.
10. Assumption of risk
By using Lunara AI you acknowledge that you understand and accept these limitations. You use the App at your own risk.
