Welcome to Lunara! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Lunara’s website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Services.

1. Rental Agreement

By renting items from Lunara, you agree to:

  • Use the rented items only for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Return all items in their original condition by the agreed-upon return date.

Failure to comply may result in additional charges, as outlined below.

2. Rental Period & Late Fees

  • Rental periods are offered in increments as specified at checkout.
  • If an item is not returned on time, a $40 late fee per day will be charged.
  • Late fees will accrue up to 1.2x the full retail price of the item. After this point, the item will be considered lost, and you will be charged accordingly.

3. Damage, Loss, & Cleaning

3.1 Damage Policy

  • Normal wear and tear is covered in your rental.
  • Significant damage includes, but is not limited to:
    • Permanent stains (e.g., wine, mud, body paint, glitter, makeup, or food that cannot be removed)
    • Fabric tears or rips, especially delicate materials like sequins, mesh, lace, and fringe
    • Burns or melted fabric (e.g., from cigarettes, fire pits, or fireworks)
    • Odor damage (e.g., smoke, strong body odor, or perfume that cannot be removed through standard cleaning)
    • Any unauthorized alterations or modifications
  • Damage Fees: Minor damages may result in a repair fee. Severe damage, including irreparable alterations or staining, may result in a replacement charge of up to 1.2x the full retail price.

3.2 Loss or Theft Policy

  • Items not returned within 7 days of the due date will be considered lost.
  • If an item is lost, stolen, or otherwise not returned, the renter will be charged up to 1.2x the full retail price.
  • Renters must provide proof of return shipping (e.g., tracking number) if a return is in dispute.

3.3 Cleaning Fees

  • Standard cleaning is included with each rental.
  • Items returned with excessive soiling, such as heavy mud, body paint, fake tan, or other substances requiring specialized treatment, may incur a special cleaning fee of $40.

4. Payment & Authorization

  • By renting from Lunara, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file for rental fees, late fees, damage fees, and loss fees.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made at least 14 days before the rental start date are eligible for a refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days before the rental start date or after shipment are non-refundable.

6. Shipping & Delivery

  • Lunara partners with third-party shippinf carriers. Once shipped, we are not responsible for delays due to carrier issues, weather, or incorrect addresses.
  • If your package does not arrive by the expected date, please contact us immediately.

7. User Responsibilities

By using Lunara, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date contact and payment information.
  • Notify us of any issues with your rental within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Not attempt to resell, alter, or permanently keep rented items.

8. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

  • Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the United States.
  • Class action waivers apply, meaning disputes must be handled individually.

9. Account Termination

Lunara reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, including non-payment, fraudulent activity, or misuse of rental items.

10. Changes to These Terms

Lunara may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or posted on our website. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
